Eugene S. Pike House Foundation – Mission Statement

The mission of the Eugene S. Pike House Foundation is to work with the Forest Preserves of Cook County, Beverly Area Arts Alliance, and area stakeholders to raise funds, awareness, and engagement in efforts to rehabilitate the historic Eugene S. Pike House for use as a Community Cultural Center that will serve surrounding South Side communities with accessible world-class cultural arts opportunities at Dan Ryan Woods.

Vision: Preserving History and a Vibrant Future

Just as Eugene Pike helped the city rebuild after the Chicago Fire, The Pike House Community Cultural Center will become a space for building community through the arts. Once fundraising and renovations are complete, the facility will include exhibition, event, and artmaking spaces for the community and creative residencies for artists, writers, and musicians that will draw local and national artists. Programming at the Pike House will include exhibitions, concerts, artist talks, meetups for trail rides and other excursions, pop-up dining, and other events throughout the year connected to themes including ecology, recreation, solitude, and cultural pride inspired by its unique location.
